Welcome to the Kitchener Face Essences Quiz!
As you work through this quiz, choose the image+description that best matches your face. At times, we do have two lines that will fight over a feature, as such it may be appropriate occasionally to split an answer between two options – though I recommend you try to find the best fitting one whenever applicable. As a rule, individuals will have 1-3 lines combining to make their unique face. More will be explained upon your completion of this quiz. Good luck!
1. Jaw
A. rounded but angular with emphasis on sides of lower jaw and chin
B. rounded and elongated, possibly slightly wide
C. elongated and sharp coming to a strong point at the chin – triangle
D. elongated and wide with straight parallel lines and strong jaw
E. rounded with no distinct angles or lack thereof, may have a slight perpetual double chin (no matter the weight)
F. angular and wide with slight indentation above the jawline
G. slightly elongated with no angles going into an upside-down egg shape
2. Cheeks
A. large round cheeks located at the center of the cheek “apple cheeked”
B. elongated gently sloped cheeks with some slight fulness (not prominent)
C. slender cheeks over sharp and prominent cheekbones – cheeks can handle being slightly underweight
D. long flat cheeks that are more flush to the face for a dry and mature look
E. cheeks of average roundness and size – cheek size and face shape may fluctuate significantly with weight
F. tighter cheeks of roughly average fulness focused at the center and side of face
G. gently full baby-cheeks placed higher on the face for a youthful, though not puffy, look
3. Eyes
A. soulful “anime boy” eyes with delicate curves and points
B. wide spaced eyes of average or slightly larger than average size
C. sharp and narrow eyes that don’t open as wide and may look intimidating
D. leaning wide in size (though not necessarily spacing), more flush to the face
E. eyes of average size and spacing with no distinguishable extremes
F. large prominent slightly protruding eyes
G. large round doe eyes that look like they could be on a porcelain doll
4. Nose
A. slightly wider, but overall average size with many rounded angles
B. long nose without harsh angles, may have an elevated nose bridge creating a straight line from the center of the forehead to the tip of the nose “Greek art”
C. long, straight, narrow, and pointed at the tip
D. may sometimes look longer and sometimes look wider, as a crooked nose can look debonair
E. average sized nose that is not overly round or sharp, tries to be balanced on face
F. angular nose that tends to be wider at the tip than at the bridge
G. delicate button nose that may look too short – for some may trend lumpy
5. Smile
A. smile is roughly the shape of a heart with many softened angles
B. corners of lips may significantly upturn while top lip creates a straight line and combines for the soft shape of a bow
C. smile is narrow and comes to sharp points at the corners of the mouth
D. wide large smile that may seem to encompass the entirety of the face
E. average smile with no distinct curvature or sharp angles, average in size
F. somewhat smaller smile with a few wider angles
G. naturally small smile that doesn’t open very big
6. Lips
A. plump and luscious lips with a naturally full upper and lower lip
B. upper lip the same size or possibly bigger than the lower lip with light fulness
C. straight, thin, and narrow lips without much if any natural plumpness
D. long and slightly curved lips of average or slightly smaller than average size that are flush against the skin
E. average sized lips of average plumpness with even size distribution
F. average or slightly larger than average somewhat compact lips that tend to be more flush against the skin
G. small but plump lips with a slightly larger pouty lower lip
7. Eyebrows
(this is a harder group, it’s about the interaction with the rest of the face)
A. arched eyebrows often with a slight kink towards the center or outer edge
B. gently straight eyebrows with a curve towards the outer edge
C. straight eyebrows that look best with crisp clean lines, may appear slender but also sharp
D. long eyebrows that can pull off looking a bit bushy, may have a heavier/more imposing brow line
E. average sized and shaped eyebrows with a slight curve
F. often have very expressive eyebrows with a comparatively large number of controllable muscles in this part of the face – may be straight or angular
G. rounded eyebrows that emphasize the size of the eyes
8. Ears
A. rounded with rounded angles and of average size placed fairly center on the head
B. “elven ears” which come to a slight point at the tip and usually has cartilage which pops out near the center of the ear
C. long narrow ears with either all sharp points or a mix of sharp and droopy
D. wide long ears that extend a good length of the face, blunt points not sharp
E. average sized ears with roughly average placement, nothing of great notice
F. round noticeable ears that usually stick out at least slightly from the head
G. small ears placed noticeably high on the head with the lobe more flush and the tip popping out creating “the perfect hair tuck”
9. Resting Face
A. resting face looks uninterested and possibly even lofty
B. resting face looks sorrowful, eternal, and world weary
C. resting face is a bit of an RBF
D. resting face is a bit of a space cadet
E. resting face looks a bit dumb
F. resting face appears concerned and/or mischievous
G. resting face sits in a bit of a perpetual pout, possibly looks a little sad
10. Overall
(look at the letters you’ve gotten elsewhere and which building blocks combine to make your face)
A. The overall shape of a rose
B. The overall shape of an S-curve
C. The overall shape of a diamond
D. The overall shape of a blunted box
E. The overall shape of a circle/oval (even spaced)
F. The overall shape of a trapezoid
G. The overall shape of a heart

Please note that individuals, as a general rule, will have 1-3 lines combining to make their unique face combination. When there is more than one line, this combo will typically have one line that is the strongest out of the two/three, but that does not compromise the other one/two.
